The Butterfly Effect (in Iguazu)

Isn`t this paisley butterfly so gorgeous? Kevin and I loved the butterflies we saw at the falls so much. Iguazu is a butterfly paradise and if you never really appreciated these little creatures before, you will after seeing them at this perfect site. There were more kinds of butterfly than I'd ever seen and they were so beautiful, especially against this setting. It was the perfect contrast--the grand eternal majesty of the falls and these fragile little beauties fluttering around them. The butterflies were so gentle and just landed on parts of us, whether you wanted them to or not! We soon learned they could easily be coaxed on to our hands for some great pictures, against the backdrop of the falls.

Kevin and I were especially impressed with these butterflies that looked like a fingerprint was placed on them. Kevin name them the 88 butterfly for obvious reasons.

I tried to get artsy with my shots...some were more successful than others.

They kept landing on our hats as well! And they would stay on forever, so we eventually had to gently shoo them away.
